APPLICATIONS
Physical Therapy
For physical therapy, the 3D feedback on standing, balance and other similar application capture on infants to geriatric subjects. Markers are used to capture small nuances of many types of movements. Therefore hand, full body or various segments can be captured for motion control applications.
Motion Studies
The high resolution 3D optical tracking with allows accurate bilateral joint kinematics for upper and lower body to be quickly and conveniently recorded. The integration of force plates and EMG allows joint moments and ground reaction forces to be calculated and synchronized with muscle activity data.
Forensic Sciences
Vicon Systems can be used in the studies of facial recognition as a validation system, or in the area of facial reconstruction by providing means to digitize surfaces. Also, with Vicon's motion capture studies of events can be digitized and analyzed.

Vicon Motion Tracking
CBI has developed a relationship with Vicon Motion Systems Ltd. with regards to Vicon's motion capture technology products. These products use infrared and near infrared camera technology that can digitize a subject at rest or in motion.
Vicon is routinely used for pre and post-operative movement assessment, helping clinicians plan treatments and assess patient progress.
Vicon systems can provide objective, recorded data on a subject, that can be replayed time and again for analysis.
Vicon Tracking Systems are configurable, interface to force plates, and can provide data streams to third party applications for a variety of possible studies and analyses.
